Depok, March 13, 2025 – The Faculty of Islamic Studies at Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) successfully hosted FisFastFest 2025 at the Theater Hall, Faculty A. This prestigious event brought together undergraduate students from various universities across Java to compete in the ‘Class of Campuses’ competition. The theme “TransformMe”, inspired by the Transformers movie, symbolized the growth and transformation each participant underwent throughout the event.

The competition welcomed representatives from 12 universities across Java, including University of Darussalam Gontor (East Java), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) Yogyakarta, Universitas Al Azhar Jakarta, LIPIA, and Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Jakarta & Banten. The highlight of the event was an intense Quiz Competition, where teams battled in a fast-paced format, answering challenging questions prepared by the organizing committee.

Dr. Bhirawa Anoraga, the convener and driving force behind FisFastFest, expressed his excitement about the enthusiastic participation. “We received dozens of applications from universities, but we could only accommodate 12 groups,” he said. “We call it ‘Class of Campuses,’ and we hope the students experience a ‘TransformMe’ moment through this competition.”

Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Prof. Yanwar Pribadi, emphasized the academic significance of this year’s event, as it marked the first time students from outside UIII were invited to compete. “We hope FisFastFest becomes a platform for intellectual competition and meaningful transformation, fostering academic exchange among universities,” he stated.

Beyond the competition, FISFastFest 2025 also featured an inspiring talk show, bringing together Irfan Amalee, co-founder of Peace Generation Indonesia and Peacesantren Welas Asih, and Maysa Sonia, a UIII alumna currently serving as Program Manager for Global Affairs at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Both speakers shared valuable insights on navigating personal and professional transformation, inspiring students to embrace change, adaptability, and continuous learning.

Through FISFastFest 2025, UIII reaffirmed its role as a hub for academic and cultural exchange, empowering students to expand their intellectual horizons, build meaningful connections, and embark on transformative journeys. The event concluded on a high note, leaving participants inspired and eager for future collaborations and competitions in the coming years.
