The Annual Conference of The British Association for Islamic Studies, along with the inauguration of the Dual Degree Programme between the Faculty of Islamic Studies UIII and the Awaldeed Center University of Edinburgh, took place from May 13-21, 2023. The purpose of this event was to respond to the letters received from the Secretary of The British Association for Islamic Studies on February 27, 2023, regarding the conference, and the Director of The HRH Prince Alwaleed Centre for the Study of Islam in the Contemporary World, Chair of Politics of the Muslim World at the University of Edinburgh, on the same date, concerning the official establishment of the Dual Degree Programme.

The inauguration of the dual Master’s degree program with the University of Edinburgh marked a significant milestone for both institutions. Following the successful implementation of the “The Edinburgh-UIII Postgraduate Dual Degree Partnership on Islam and the Globalized Muslim World” program, which received funding from the British Council’s Going Global Partnerships Program for 2022 and 2023, key representatives from UIII embarked on a visit to the University of Edinburgh.
