On April 13, 2023, a Public Lecture was held with the theme “Colonial Debates about the Place of Islamic law in Society: Snouck Hurgronje and Van den Berg revisited”. The lecture was delivered by Stijn Cornelis van Huis, Ph.D, from BINUS University, as the guest speaker. The event offered new perspectives for the academic development of the Faculty of Islamic Studies and for the attending scholars.
