My name is Ibrahim Youssef. I am originally from Togo, West Africa. I obtained my BA degree in 2020 from the University of Tabuk in the United Arab Emirates specialising in Arabic Language and Literature.
I chose the Faculty of Islamic Studies for my study because the faculty introduces us to the integration knowledge between classical and modern sciences. It equips its graduates with both classical and contemporary knowledge. This combination will also support my dream job as a professional educator in my home country, Togo, where the Muslim population is only around 15%.
One of the things I have enjoyed most at UIII is the flexibility of doing the courses either in-person or online. During these uncertain times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the university permitted us to meet all the academic requirements and social activities in whatever way was most comfortable for us. Depok is a great city; and it has everything you could want. The weather is good and fits every nationality. The people are also so friendly. They like to socialize and chat with everyone regardless of their ethnicity and race.
