Depok, March 13, 2025 – The Faculty of Islamic Studies at UIII successfully hosted FisFastFest 2025, concluding with an exciting showdown in the Clash of Campuses competition. Yogyakarta’s Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) secured first place in the intense quiz contest, surpassing 11 other universities across Java.
This inter-university competition brought together 12 teams of undergraduate students from Islamic universities in Java, challenging them through multiple rigorous rounds. The contest began with a direct-answer round, followed by a high-speed buzzer challenge to determine the semifinalists. In the semifinals, participants faced a case study challenge, requiring them to analyze and present solutions within a limited time.
The competition ended with three finalists battling for the championship, where UII Yogyakarta claimed victory, overcoming LIPIA Jakarta and UIN Jakarta, who finished as runners-up.
One of UII’s team members, Faisal Ahmad Ferdian Syah, shared his excitement about the competition, calling it an adrenaline-charged challenge that required extensive knowledge and quick decision-making. “With judges who are doctors and professors, the challenge was immense. We hope this competition continues every year,” he remarked.
Beyond the competition, FisFastFest 2025 served as a vital platform for intellectual discourse and collaboration. Muhammad Rafa Ananda from Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia highlighted how the event demonstrated the active role of Islamic universities in addressing contemporary global issues, reinforcing their relevance in the modern academic landscape.
By organizing FisFastFest 2025, UIII solidified its position as a center for academic excellence, intellectual development, and inter-university collaboration.
