About
Dr. Lubis is an Associate Professor of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII). He previously served as Chairman of the Islamic College of Mandailing Natal, Indonesia. He has also held positions as Associate Professor of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Education of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta and at Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang.
His research interests focus on Arabic linguistics and applied linguistics, particularly the interaction between Arabic and other languages.
Dr. Lubis earned his Ph.D. in Arabic Linguistics from Mohammed V University in Rabat, Morocco, graduating with summa cum laude. His dissertation, entitled “The Arabic Language and Its Impact on the Indonesian Language: A Lexical Study,” examines the linguistic influence of Arabic on Indonesian vocabulary. He also completed his M.A. in Arabic Linguistics at the same university. Earlier, he obtained his B.A. in Arabic Language (Linguistics) from Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Lubis has actively participated in national, regional, and international seminars and conferences. He has supervised numerous master’s and doctoral theses and has served as an examiner for graduate research projects.
