Depok, Indonesia – The Faculty of Islamic Studies (FIS), Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII), is proud to celebrate the achievement of Babangida Muhammad Gidado, who received the Best Presenter Award at the Gontor International Conference 2025, held from October 3–5, 2025, at Universitas Darussalam (UNIDA) Gontor, Ponorogo, Indonesia.

Representing the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Babangida presented a thought-provoking paper titled “Sheikh Nyass and the Making of Sacred Narratives: Myth, Reincarnation and Sufi Identity in Nigeria.” His presentation was highly praised for its originality, depth of analysis, and contribution to contemporary Islamic scholarship.

In his note of appreciation addressed to the Faculty, Babangida expressed his gratitude for the continuous academic and moral support he has received from FIS.

“This recognition is not only a personal achievement but also a source of pride for our Faculty and the University at large, as it reflects the high standard of academic excellence and intellectual contribution our institution represents,” he wrote.
