Dr. Torkis Lubis



Dr. Torkis Lubis is a Associate Professer at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Indonesian International Islamic University (UIII), and He is Former Chairman of the Islamic College of the Mandailing Natal Indonesia. He is also a former Associate Professor in Arabic Language at the Faculty of Education at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University of Jakarta and at Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang. His research interests span across the Arabic Linguistic and Applied Linguistic. Dr Lubis obtained his PhD. in Linguistic (Arabic Language) from Muhammed V University in Rabat, Morocco with Summa Claude a thesis entitled “ The Arabic language and its impact on the Indonesian language (Lexical Study). He completed his MA in Linguistic (Arabic Language) at Muhammed V University in Rabat, Morocco. He was educated at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt where he obtained his BA in Arabic Language (Linguistic). Dr. Torkis has participated in seminars and conferences at the national, regional, and international levels and supervised master’s and doctoral theses and their exams.
